Imet XSMART 3 Enclosed Saw
A modern machine designed to deliver industry-leading performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. It features a removable coolant tank, making cleaning quicker and more straightforward. The saw frame and base are constructed from high-thickness electro-welded steel, significantly reducing vibration and noise levels. The double vices ensure perfect clamping on both sides of the blade, resulting in a nib-free surface finish. Each vice is equipped with pressure reducers to facilitate precise cutting of thin-walled tubes and sections.
The saw frame operates via precise variable-rate hydraulics mounted on high-tension precision linear rails. The feeder is driven by a servo motor with transmission through a recirculating ball screw, overseen by a high-resolution encoder that allows for automatic zero positioning. Additionally, the feeder includes a built-in supporting table to prevent pieces from falling into the bar feeding system.
The machine produces a very small remaining scrap end of only 50 mm. Band guides with carbide pads are mechanically held in contact with the blade and are mounted on precision linear guides. These guides feature hardened, tempered, and ground lateral bearings. The mobile band guide is automatically adjusted to sit close to the cutting area. Blade cleaning is enhanced by a motorised rotating metal brush, and a motorised electric chip conveyor is standard. LED integral lighting provides improved visibility of the working area. The user-friendly NC control features 99 programmes, each containing data for cut lengths, required piece counts, and the optimal blade speed for specific jobs or materials.
