Round Separators
MX Separator
The latest in round separation design from SWECO is the new generation MX Separator. Currently available in 30-, 40-, 48- and 60-inch diameters, the separator is designed to increase safety, provide stronger construction and allow for a more sanitary process. The totally enclosed weight guard on the MX prevents "reach in" injuries, complying with European CE Standards. The extremely rugged construction of this machine utilizes conical construction rather than flat plates which creates a more rigid geometric structure. Additionally, the open base construction allows for cleaning underneath the unit, therefore preventing dirt and product build-up.
What it does...
Separate solids from liquids or segregate dry materials into various sizes. Particles as fine as 400 mesh (37 microns) can be screened, with up to 4 screen decks incorporated in one SWECO separator. No special flooring or foundation is needed and less working floorspace is required. Simple and efficient design requires less horsepower. Other features include long screen life and ease with which screens may be changed.
Multi-Motion Rectangular Separators
The MM offers an attachment that can continuously or intermittently wash screen mesh free of solids. Screen blinding is a major cause of reduced capacity, and systems like the traveling spray will enable your shaker to perform more efficiently by assuring maximum throughput.
GyraMax Gyratory Sifter
The GyraMax can increase your plant's productivity by reducing the costs associated with routine maintenance and unscheduled repairs. That means fewer production outages and fewer instances of pulling employees away from other duties for unscheduled maintenance. It all adds up to less frustration, greater productivity, and lower production costs
PH06 PharmASep Pharmaceutical Aseptic Separator
These processors allow filtration, washing, and vacuum drying all in one aseptic environment. Sweco's patented vibratory action allows for efficient fluid separation at extremely low differential pressures, afterward fluidizing the bed to allow for complete vacuum drying under very low vapor pressures.
The sanitary design of these filter dryers allows for either complete disassembly or CIP with SIP possible. The process chamber can be assembled and sterilized in an autoclave.
Centrifugal Sifters
Grinding Mills
The SWECO Vibro-Energy Mill's unique vibratory motion, coupled with the use of cylindrical media, allows a dense packing of the media bed assuring maximum media surface contact and minimum void area when operated under a low energy condition. Feed materials as large as 300 microns can be reduced to sub-micron sizes.
In the high energy configuration, feed materials as large as twelve inch agglomerates have been successfully milled and solid particles of a half inch are being reduced to a d50 of less than 5 microns.
The low energy condition is reserved for wet milling whereas the higher energy mode can be used either wet or dry.

Fusion & Fusion Plus Screens
Fusion Screens are a revolutionary screen developed from a new technology that "fuses" the screen mesh to the tension ring. Fusion Screens have been designed to eliminate the use of adhesive, epoxy or silicone in screen manufacturing resulting in a unitary construction that minimizes the potential for contamination. Added benefits include precise repeatable tensioning and engineered uniform integral strain relief created from the complex robotic manufacturing process.
The Fusion Screen is comprised of the gasket, strain relief, and screen frame as one molded part. Fusion Screens are available in standard Fusion and Fusion Plus construction. Fusion Plus has FDA approved components for use in sanitary applications and higher temperature limits
SWECO Technology Centers, Lab Testing
About us
Markets served
SWECO serves the food, chemical, minerals, pharmaceutical, paper, mining and many other industries with their wide array of products, each tailored with precise specifications for the individual customer.
Technologies
SWECO has the ability to separate materials down to fine and ultra fine particle sizes, depending on your application. SWECO’s use of high-speed vibration, ultrasonic technology, and centrifugal machinery enables it to effectively perform these particle processes for wet or dry applications.
Technical services
The most predominant service SWECO offers is in the field of service engineers, who on average maintain more than 20 years of experience. SWECO also offers its customers the convenience of field tests as well as on-site testing laboratories in Kentucky, Belgium, and Singapore, where full-scale tests can be run. The SWECO state of the art test facility in Florence, Kentucky provides a variety of industrial separation and grinding equipment to meet every customer’s unique application. From coarse separation to ultra fine separation, SWECO has a solution for you.
SWECO offers several types of screening and grinding equipment in our test lab: Round Separators offer separations ranging from a 1-inch opening down to 635 mesh (20 microns); GyraMax Gyratory Sifters screens medium (100-120 mesh) to coarse separations at high rates; SWECO grinding mills are used in small feasibility tests or full scale tests to determine rates to meet customer objectives.
With over 150 years of combined technical separation experience in our lab, we can determine what equipment will best meet your objectives. Customer witnessed tests are welcomed and encouraged.
Facilities
In addition to its world headquarters in Florence, Kentucky, SWECO has manufacturing facilities in Macon, Georgia; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Nivelles, Belgium; Edinburgh, Scotland; Berra, Italy; Mumbai, India; Shanghai, China; and Singapore; a joint venture, Swequipos, S.A. de C.V., in Mexico; and a licensee, iBulk Solutions Pty Ltd., in Australia. Major products
SWECO offers a full line of separation equipment, including the Vibro-Energy Round Separator, high speed vibrating rectangular separators, GyraMax™ Gyratory Sifter, high-capacity decanting centrifuges, other particle sizing/separation equipment, as well as grinding mills and finishing mills.
The SWECO MX™ Round Separator is a new generation separator with design features to increase safety, provide a stronger construction, and allow for a more sanitary process. The totally enclosed weight guard prevents “reach-in” injuries, complying with CE Standards. Making use of the appropriate motor, the MX also complies with ATEX Standards. Angled support springs minimize aggressive vibration that typically occurs during shutdown of the machine. The extremely rugged construction of the MX utilizes conical construction rather than flat plates creating a more rigid geometric structure. The open base construction allows for cleaning underneath the unit, preventing dirt and product build-up. Additionally, the MX base design eliminates all gussets and external crevices where product can become trapped while allowing for total external polishing of the machine. Ultimately, this new design offers the same dependable service you expect from SWECO, innovators of vibratory separation since 1942.
The SWECO® GyraMax™ Gyratory Sifter can increase your plant’s productivity by reducing the costs associated with routine maintenance and unscheduled repairs. That means fewer production outages and fewer instances of pulling employees away from other duties for unscheduled maintenance. It all adds up to less frustration, greater productivity, and lower production costs. Screen changes are quick and easy, even for multi-deck screeners. With the GyraMax, you can change any screen at any level of the machine from either end without disturbing the other screens. You can also change screens through the top cover without lifting equipment. Additionally, with the GyraMax’s easy access doors it’s even possible to inspect for major problems without disturbing any of the screens or ball trays.
SWECO also offers a complete line of aftermarket parts and screens, including screen innovations such as the Fusion Screen designed to eliminate the use of adhesives, epoxy or silicone in screen manufacturing. Instead, the mesh is “fused” directly into the tension ring. Fusion Plus Screens are also available for those needing to meet FDA requirements. Other screening innovations include SWECO’s Supertaut Plus Screen, Sanitary Screen and Magnum Screen technology. The Supertaut Plus screen is designed with a pure white adherent which applies FDA approved chemistry with the durability to withstand caustic and steam cleaning, and severe environments. The Sanitary Screen utilizes a silicone substitute adhesive for screens used in any USDA and other sanitary applications. The Magnum Screen was developed for increased strength, significantly improving screen life over traditional screen designs.
The SWECO Commitment
Our commitment is to continue our seventy year tradition of providing quality, value, and performance by meeting your processing needs today, tomorrow, and far into the future.
