Charpak, Another Original Design

Charpak has created another winning pack for the ambient cakes category.

Charpak was asked to develop a pack to show off a 4” Cake surrounded by 8 Individual Cupcakes. They designed and developed a ‘UFO’ inspired shape that allows excellent all round visibility of the product inside. With the addition of a simple collar for graphics, this proved to be a winner with Tesco for Halloween, with sales surpassing expectations. The pack was firmly aimed at the Premium market with a retail price point of £10. This plays into the sharing/party market where the 4” Cake is shared, with the 8 Individual Cupcakes either consumed during the party or taken home as a ‘party favour’

Due to the phenomenal success at Halloween, follow-ups will include Valentines, Mothers Day and Easter products. In addition Morrison’s are looking to the pack for an All Year Round option.
