Systems Integration launch Claim Management Software
Systems Integration (SI) has just launched a new claim management software solution for the fresh produce sector. The food software specialists noticed that out of spec raw material is a major problem for fruit and vegetable processors. They observed that raw materials often have to be returned or reprocessed.
The Staffordshire-based business found that processors are able to recover the price of raw materials and the wage bill generated by remedial work. However, they identified that claiming money back from suppliers is creating a significant extra admin cost for most businesses.Managing Director Rob Stephens explains: “Most processors record discrepancies and calculate claim values manually. This is time consuming, costly and prone to inaccuracy. To resolve this problem, we’ve developed software which automates the process.”
SI’s claim management software allows operators to record discrepancies electronically. This is faster and more accurate than recording information manually and will automatically alert the processor’s accounts department about a claim. Information includes photographic evidence, what percentage of the delivery did not meet specification and the value of the claim.
“In addition to the immediate time and cost savings that are achieved by removing this admin, automating manual processes means there’s less chance of human error,” added Stephens.
“Visibility is improved, meaning processors can quickly identify if there are any issues with a particular supplier or product. Management are also able to rank suppliers by the quality of raw material intake. Understanding which supplier is best value for money can help purchasing decisions moving forward.”
The claim management software has been designed to enable easy analysis. It works by automatically generating and emailing reports to management teams. Processors simply need to tell SI what information they would like to receive, who needs it and when.
