RWM fuels business growth for Alpha Waste Solutions
Commercial recycling specialist Alpha Waste Solutions took RWM 2013 by storm, with the launch of two new product ranges and passionate talks from Peter Vernon about the importance of recycling in education.
Alpha’s new 100 litre Centauri recycling bin − a mid-range product purposefully designed to satisfy a previously unfilled market gap − proved a huge hit with RWM visitors looking for the a premium quality commercial recycling product, without the price tag. Suitable for virtually every recycling stream, including paper, mixed recycling, mixed plastics, cans and metals, this bin has generated dozens of new enquiries for the expanding Alpha team.Having recruited four new UK agents to support continued business growth, the recycling experience within Alpha now exceeds 100 years. This means the company is well-placed to develop even stronger relationships with customers and transform these RWM leads into valuable orders.
Alpha also launched a new metal bin range at the show, which proved equally popular. The 35-150 litre Cervic bins are designed to satisfy clients’ increasing demand for a heavy duty recycling product that is used beyond the traditional office environment.
Commenting on the interest in these newly launched products, Peter Vernon said: “After months of preparation and hard work, we had high expectations for RWM. However, nobody could have predicted that our presence at the event would be such a success. We have a phenomenal number of enquiries to follow up on, which could see us working with over 50 new clients throughout Europe.
“Following investment from our North American partner Busch Systems earlier in the year, we now look set to close 2013 on a high.”
Peter adopted a vocal stance at RWM, speaking to a number of journalists, peers and prospective customers about the importance of recycling in schools. A passionate advocate of educating children about the need to recycle, Peter feels this grassroots approach will play a fundamental role in shaping the UK’s future resource efficiency.
He concludes: “This is an area of recycling that Alpha is committed to nurturing over the coming months, and this is exactly why we showcased our Kids Zone products at RWM. If children can learn from a young age the value of reuse, waste segregation and recycling, they will naturally adopt a more sustainable approach to living. They will undoubtedly help to change the more rigid behaviours of their parents too − we should not underestimate the influence that our youngsters can have.”
