City General Hospital

University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust has recently undergone a major redevelopment of its hospitals, and a brand new 370 million pound hospital is complete at City General.

The Challenge

The client required a racking system for all types of medical gas cylinders, to be located in the new purpose built Gas Bottle Store. Cylinders are to be stored both horizontally and vertically, varying in weight and size.

Our Solution

Working alongside the main contractor, Laing O’Rourke, Storage Essentials designed and installed bespoke racking to accommodate various types of medical gas cylinders.

Installation was complete inside two days and all in accordance with main contractor project schedule.

The new system of medical gas racks provides the client with storage for an ever growing number of gas cylinders.
