St Luke’s Medical Practice

St Luke’s Medical Practice had outgrown their two existing surgeries and was relocating to a new purpose built facility over three floors in Northampton.

The Challenge

The client required a filing system that could accommodate all their existing 20,000 patient notes plus allow enough room in the new system for 20% growth for new patients.

A key concern for the client was the handling of the file move, in which all patient notes were to be merged from four existing filing rooms into the new mobile system, whilst maintaining access to any file which may be required at short notice.

Maintaining the security of stored files and ensuring the integrity of customer data was essential for the client.

Our Solution

Storage Essentials designed and installed a new mobile shelving system to accommodate in excess of 26,000 patient notes. We supplied all the boxes to store Lloyd George notes on the shelves.

All the existing files were crated and moved by our own staff and merged alphabetically into the new system with minimum disruption to the running of the medical practice.

The new system of mobile shelving and Lloyd George boxes provides the client with storage for an ever growing number of patients, but in a smaller footprint than the previous surgeries.
