Latest News from Pollution & Process Monitoring Ltd
Domestic sales included our Proam ammonia monitor for a final effluent monitoring application within Wessex Water, a MLSS monitoring system for a diary production facility and a Protoc TOC analyser system pre-installed into an analyser kiosk for Manchester International Airport.
Time was also allocated to product training. PPM engineers attended the TriOS manufacturing facility in Germany, to receive service training, on their range of optical sensors which we distribute in to the UK marketplace. Internationally, sales included two Protoc TOC analysers supplied to India for an application at a Refinery.Wessex Water procure Proam ammonia monitor for Royal Wootton Bassett WRC
Wesssex Water has placed a purchase order for another continuous ammonia analyser. The Proam manufactured by PPM, will be installed on a final effluent discharge to river, to provide continuous water quality measurement at Wootton Bassett WRC. The instrument was supplied with PPM’s membrane filtration system, to remove suspended solids and biology. Sample preparation improves the reliability of measurement and reduces analyser maintenance. The instrument will be connected to Scopex using an analogue 4-20mA output so data can be continuously reported, enabling Scientists to proactively monitor the treatment process.
PPM engineers attend TriOS, Germany to receive in depth product training
PPM engineers received in depth product training at TriOS headquarters located in northern Germany. The training was provided by the head of R&D on key optical sensors used for the determination of nitrate, nitrite, dissolved organics, PAH oil in water and E-chem sensor technology. Additionally, the operation of various controllers used to interface sensors and output measurements to telemetry were also covered. Aspects of sensor calibration, routine maintenance, application specific guidance, product selection, automatic cleaning selection and installation were discussed. A tour of the manufacturing plant, product assembly, R&D facilities and quality control laboratory were very informative, underpinning the high quality offered by this innovative company.
Additional Protoc TOC analyser purchased for Manchester International Airport
A fully engineered Protoc TOC monitor system has been procured for the new Manchester Airport Terminal 2 extension. This latest purchase order will take the total up to nine Protoc TOC monitoring systems at Manchester Airport, giving them further protection of potential contaminants entering the surface water system. Our Paper Band Filtration system will be supplied to support the water quality monitoring system and the instrumentation will be pre-installed by PPM within a walkin analyser kiosk. Our Service engineers will the complete site commissioning to hand over an operational measurement system to the client.
Two Protoc TOC instruments purchased for refinery application in India
Forbes Marshal of India have placed an order for two Protoc TOC analysers for their client Chennai Petroleum Corporation. The Protoc instruments, range 0-10ppm TOC will monitor condensate return lines for organic ingress. The instrument testing is to be witnessed by an independent inspector from Lloyds Register with the report forming part of the client’s quality document portfolio.
