Register today for our next live CPD Webinar
Join us this Wednesday 9th June at 1pm for the first live webinar presentation of our newest RIBA approved, double-point CPD on ‘Principles of Type A External Waterproofing to British Standard 8102:2009’.
This CD focuses on Type A “barrier” waterproofing protection, which is applied to either the internal or external surface of a structure in order to resist the pressure of water trying to enter a building.
Newton Technical Director, Richard Crossley, has over 25 years of experience in the waterproofing industry and will present an overview of Type A waterproofing design requirements and principles.
The CPD covers the following topics:
- The principles of Type A membranes, including examples of historic failures and how to design effective Type A solutions.
- A recap of the principles of British Standard 8102:2009.
- An overview of pre-applied and post−applied membranes, internal membranes, detailing and application.
- The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes and will end with Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to discuss the CPD material in greater detail with Richard.
