Why use a filter on your coffee machine?

Coffee is approximately 98% water. Therefore, the quality of your drink is influenced by the water that goes into it.

Using the correct filter, will remove the chlorine and other contaminants that can alter the taste and aroma of your coffee. Hard water can lead to a bitter or chalky tasting coffee, while some minerals are crucial for optimal extraction.

Some filters strike a balance, removing harsh minerals but retaining beneficial ones.

Limescale is the enemy of coffee machines. It clogs working parts, decreases the efficiency of the machine and can lead to costly repairs.
Using a filter will prolong the machines lifespan by acting as the first line of defence, this means less cleaning and descaling, saving you time and effort.
