Packaging Waste Reduction Initiative.

Instore Bakery Packaging Reductions are becoming a hot topic.

Charpak, located in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, see waste food packaging reduction as a positive to our business. We approached a major retailer with ideas of how to reduce food packaging waste within their in store bakery. This has led to Charpak being chosen to produce a wide range of packaging products for the in store bakery with more ideas to be developed. We have improved the packaging design, reduced the rPET material thickness and the size of the food containers to increase the amount that could be displayed on shelf. After extensive marketing and transit trials the bakery packaging is now launched with great success.
