Pasma training goes digital
Pasma 2025 is going digital on the 27/1/25 -Download PASMA’s TowerSure app for step by-step guidance on inspecting towers, plus easy access to your PASMA card. If you’ve got a current PASMA qualification, or if you’ve checked a worker’s card recently, you might already be familiar with the virtual PASMA card. Launched in 2022 as a quick, secure and environmentally friendly way to demonstrate your competence, everyone with a PASMA qualification already has a virtual card – as long as they’ve downloaded TowerSure. So far, virtual cards have always been issued alongside a plastic card. However, plastic cards are now being phased out. PASMA training centres have begun making the switch from plastic cards to virtual cards, with the roll out expected to be complete by June 2025. From that point, plastic cards will only be available on request, at additional cost.

Foam Extinguisher

What’s going on with new legislation concerning Foam extinguishers, and the two upcoming UK-wide bans? I say current because the second cut-off date (2030) is still up in the air at the moment and some manufacturers think it might even be brought forward. There are various H&S / Government consultations planned for 2025 and that ‘2030’ date might well move. Things have been changing quite fast with regards to all this.
