Topic Of The Month - Outdoor Bars

Outdoor bars have become a sought-after feature for both commercial venues and homeowners, offering a unique way to enhance outdoor spaces and create memorable experiences.

Whether you’re running a busy bar or restaurant or entertaining guests in your garden, an outdoor bar can be a game changer. Here’s why:

1. Enhanced Entertaining Space

An outdoor bar maximizes your space by creating an additional area for serving drinks and socializing. For commercial venues, an outdoor bar can increase your revenue potential and keeps the party flowing by creating an inviting atmosphere to patios, beer gardens, and rooftop terraces. While for homes, it’s the perfect spot for hosting friends and family.

2. Ideal for All Seasons

From warm summer days to cooler evenings, an outdoor bar can serve as a year-round feature in your venue.
In commercial venues, outdoor bars encourage year-round foot traffic, especially when paired with heaters, fire pits, or covered seating, allowing your business to remain inviting in all seasons. For homeowners, an outdoor bar creates an area to enjoy while relaxing in the sun or entertaining under the stars.

3. Customisation to Fit Any Space

Whether you’re working with a sprawling commercial venue or a cozy patio area, outdoor bars can be customised to fit your space and style. Tailored to your exact needs, we create functional, hardworking and stylish bars that make the most of your space.

4. Creating a Social and Relaxed Atmosphere

Outdoor bars encourage social interaction, whether you’re relaxing with friends at home or enjoying cocktails at a venue.
The informal, lively atmosphere that outdoor bars provide makes any gathering feel enjoyable and memorable.
In a commercial venue, an outdoor bar can also help you stand out by offering a unique experience that keeps customers coming back!

Whether you're looking to create a standout feature for your business or upgrade your garden, our bespoke outdoor bar solutions are designed to enhance both the aesthetic and functionality of your space.

Project Focus - Outernet London

This month we’re looking back at one of our biggest, and most exciting projects to date: Outernet London. We designed, manufactured and installed 7 underbars for this incredible venue, with a combined length of over 60 metres!

At a music and event venue like Outernet London, it was important to look at the flow of the space and focus on creating seamless bar operations to cope with demand
during intervals.

Working closely with the Client, we developed a generic drinks station to suit the venue’s unique requirements. We then utilized the generic stations across all 7 bars, which gave the venue flexibility with where they position their staff, and allows bartenders to work quickly, comfortably and safely at any station.

Our stations included extra large ice wells with adjustable dividers for flexibility, pitcher rinsers, custom garnish rails and neatly disguised beer taps and beer wells. We also maximised the stations by creating double stations where needed - with a shared ice well to keep the drinks flowing as quickly as possible!

Our Senior Designer, Gary, had the pleasure of working on this exciting project;
“Outernet was an incredible project to be a part of. We were tasked with designing seven unique underbars, in two separate venues; with each bar having its own set of client specific requirements. This project was a great example of collaboration between designer and operator, as we had the opportunity to work closely with the client to fine tune each bar to suit their needs. Some of the bars included a cosy cocktail room, an intimate gig space and a VIP bar for special events.”
