Bold Wayfinding & Interpretation Signage for Ireland's Mount Congreve 🍀
For over 60 years, we’ve been crafting wayfinding and interpretation signage that enhances visitor experiences. Our work has taken us to some stunning and sometimes challenging locations, each with unique signage needs.
Our commission for Mount Congreve Gardens in Ireland is one such example and exemplifies how signage can become an immersive, integral part of a destination.
The Challenge
Our task was to craft creative wayfinding and interpretation signage for the entire Mount Congreve estate. Working with the design team at Weare Martin, we needed to ensure signage would be both visually striking and highly durable to withstand the elements and visitor interactions.
The Process
After an extensive consultation period, we selected the most suitable materials and manufacturing processes for the project. We chose powder-coated stainless steel and lacquered aluminium for longevity, fabricating each sign and integrating vibrant graphics into durable structures.
The Delivery
Delivering a project of this scale required meticulous planning and management - something our team has a great deal of experience with. The signage was shipped on large pallets with clear instructions and all necessary fixings. Despite some complex moving parts, the client’s team was able to handle the installation smoothly.
The Outcome
Some outdoor signage requires it to blend subtly into its environment, but Mount Congreve needed bold, colourful, and playful elements to stand out, adding sculptural and architectural interest to the gardens. The results showcase the power of creativity, precision, and durability!
