Penn Packaging < Labelling with Renner: Ennstal Milch
The innovative CartoCan® packaging receives its function-critical seal label on a RENNER S PSL.
Austria-based Ennstal Milch KG has developed from a classic dairy into a successful partner for international branded companies and retailers. The wide product and packaging portfolio includes, among other things, the cylindrical CartoCan® for still beverages based on milk, water or juice.A SPECIAL LABELING SOLUTIONOn the specially developed CartoCan® line, the printed cartons are first fed from the roll and formed, then filled and sealed with a piece of film. The packaging is completed by a specially modified RENNER S720 PSL. Its dispenser applies a sealing label with different adhesive intensities so precisely to the sealing film that the can will be opened conveniently via the non-adhesive part. “The seal label also serves as dust protection and additional marketing space,” explains project manager Andreas Ebner. ”However, the application is absolutely function-critical and must therefore be carried out with the highest precision and security.”OPTIMAL SOLUTION FOUND TOGETHERAndreas Ebner describes the cooperation with RENNER as exemplary. “Both design departments worked together in a committed and uncomplicated manner, and the commissioning was also optimally accompanied.” For future productivity increases, RENNER already has a retrofittable solution: an AutoSplicer for automatic reel change. RENNER solved this not everyday task quickly and without complications. We are very satisfied with the result.“
