A London Museum implements Callmy Alert to Support Martyn’s Law Compliance and Enhance Visitor Safety
London, 27 May 2025 — One of the foremost London museums has taken a significant step in bolstering public safety by implementing the Callmy Alert service.
This move supports
compliance with Martyn’s Law (also known as the Terrorism Protection of Premises Bill), reflecting the museum’s proactive commitment to safeguarding its staff, visitors, and heritage.
Martyn’s Law, named in memory of Martyn Hett who tragically lost his life in the 2017 Manchester Arena attack, is new UK legislation that aims to improve security preparedness at publicly accessible locations. In anticipation of the law’s enactment the London museum has adopted Callmy Alert, a critical communication and emergency response solution, designed to provide secure lockdown messages and support for incident management.
“We are proud to be among the first cultural institutions to adopt this level of preparedness,” said the Head of Security for the London Museum. “The safety of our visitors and staff is paramount, and the integration of Callmy Alert ensures we are not only compliant with Martyn’s Law but also equipped with modern tools to manage emergencies swiftly and efficiently.”
Callmy Alert enables the management teams to instantly communicate with staff and key responders during a major incident, ensuring vital instructions can be disseminated without delay. The platform includes features such as geo-fenced alerts, two-way communication, and real-time situational awareness, all of which support robust protective security measures and contingency planning.
Tony Watson, CEO of Callmy Ltd, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with a London Museum. Their implementation of Callmy Alert demonstrates their dedication to public safety and sets an excellent example for how cultural and heritage venues can meet the requirements of Martyn’s Law through practical and scalable solutions.”
The London Museum continues to work closely with security experts and is observing the government guidance to ensure it remains a safe space for everyone. This new partnership with Callmy represents an important milestone in that ongoing journey.
