UNICOL mounts support major video wall installation across UK Bingo sites

Large-scale deployment showcases mounting system versatility

UNICOL Engineering, a leader in audio-visual mounting solutions, has successfully supported a major nationwide LED video wall installation across multiple bingo sites throughout the UK. The project, delivered by AV integrator Willow Communications, saw UNICOL's Spirit dvLED Video Wall Mounts installed at venues operated by Mecca Bingo, Buzz Bingo, Club3000 and Deluxe Bingo in locations including Leeds, Northampton, Sheffield, Ipswich, Broadstairs and Wakefield.

The installations feature an impressive variety of LED video wall configurations, ranging from compact 2560 x 1440mm displays to expansive 12000 x 2000mm installations. With configurations from 4 x 3 panel arrays up to substantial 24 x 4 arrays, all utilised Hisense's XIM, XIH and RNM ranges of dvLED panels.

UNICOL's Spirit dvLED Video Wall Mount proved essential in accommodating the diverse requirements across the various venues. The mounting system's built-in adjustment capabilities, providing 20mm of movement both horizontally and vertically through its wall-tie bracket design, meant installers could work with different wall types and overcome on-site challenges while ensuring perfect panel alignment.

Over 410,000 metres of UNICOL's 40x40 aluminium extrusion was used across the installations. This extensive use of materials demonstrates both the scope of the nationwide rollout and the faith placed in UNICOL's mounting solutions for large-scale commercial installations.

James Pearson, Project Manager at Willow Communications, praises the collaboration. "We've used UNICOL many times before and trust their gear,” he says. “It's solid, reliable, and easy to work with, which is exactly what we needed here. For this project, the requirement was for something strong and precise, and UNICOL just made the job easier."

Pearson highlights how the mounting solutions helped overcome typical installation challenges. "There were a few things to consider, including different wall types, tight spaces, and making sure all the LED panels were lined up perfectly,” he continues. “UNICOL's mounts gave us the ability to work around those issues. They gave us the flexibility we needed and helped things go smoothly onsite."

Willow Communications drew on over 35 years of experience in AV installations to deliver the complex multi-site rollout within tight timeframes, all while minimising disruption to venue operations.

"The final result looks great. It’s clean, sharp, and just works. The clients are really pleased, and we're proud of how it all came together," adds Pearson. "It was a solid team effort between us, Hisense, and UNICOL, and the end result really shows that."
