UNICOL delivers bespoke mounting solutions for British Airways Global Learning Academy

Custom-engineered digital signage totems and Parabella stands support advanced training displays at Heathrow facility

Oxford, UK – March 5th, 2026 - UNICOL Engineering, a leader in audio-visual mounting solutions, has successfully delivered specialist mounting systems for the British Airways Global Learning Academy (GLA) at Heathrow Airport. The project features both a bespoke Kiosk design for an Aircraft Door Training Screen and Parabella bases supporting CleverLive interactive displays throughout the facility.

The deployment was completed in partnership with SPC Group, which specified the solution for British Airways’ training and communications needs. The Global Learning Academy is one of the world’s most advanced aviation training centres, delivering thousands of training sessions every year for pilots, cabin crew, engineers, and ground staff.

The facility includes a 16-bay simulator hall, full-size cabin mock-ups with operational galleys and safety equipment, and over 75 purpose-built classrooms for theoretical and practical instruction. With training running around the clock to support both initial and recurrent programmes, the need for consistent, real-time communication across the site was essential.

The Aircraft Door Training Screen installation features a specially designed Edgeline digital signage totems that houses an 86” portrait-mounted display. This custom mounting solution delivers a professional, user-friendly training platform for aviation crew, enabling the next generation of professionals to gain hands-on experience with real-world procedures. The system presents CleverLive content displaying different aircraft door configurations with precision and dependability.

Additionally, UNICOL Parabella AV Stands were installed to mount Clevertouch interactive displays throughout the GLA. These provide seamless usability and a professional finish, perfect for the collaborative training environment. The British Airways Global Training Academy uses its Clevertouch CleverLive interactive screens for Aircraft Door Training, providing real-time scenario walkthroughs, safety animations, and hands-on door simulations that give trainees instant, visual feedback bringing every procedure to life.
