Baker Labels Accelerates Expansion with Over £1 Million Investment at Labelexpo Europe

Independent UK-based label and flexible packaging specialist Baker Labels, has made a bold move to strengthen its market position, announcing a £1m+ investment in cutting-edge print and pouchmaking technology during Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona.

The Brentwood manufacturer revealed the acquisition of a Galaxy Packtech GS 24 Plus 200 SBS pouchmaker for its BakPac flexible packaging division, along with two HP Indigo 6K+ digital printing presses to enhance its core label production capabilities.

Unlike many exhibitors who arrive with pre-set budgets, Baker Labels adopted a dynamic strategy by making purchasing decisions on-site after evaluating the latest innovations and engaging with trusted suppliers.

Steve Baker, Managing Director, shared insights into the company’s forward-thinking approach:

“At Bakers, we’ve always made it a priority to stay at the very forefront of label and packaging technology. Our long-standing partnership with HP has been central to that journey, and the introduction of the two new HP Indigo 6K+ presses strengthens our ability to deliver both speed and quality to our label customers. On the flexible packaging side, Galaxy Packtech has been a fantastic partner in the growth of BakPac - their pouch making systems give us the reliability and scale we need to keep up with customer demand. These investments reflect our confidence in the future and our commitment to giving brands and trade partners the innovation, service, and agility they expect from Bakers.”

Gaurav Sharma of Galaxy Packtech also commented on the collaboration:

“BakPac’s continued trust in our technology is a true testament to the reliability, performance, and partnership we stand for. Moments like these remind us that long-term relationships are built on more than machines, they’re built on shared goals, consistent support, and the drive to innovate together.”

Beyond the investment announcements, Baker Labels used the event to strengthen relationships with key industry partners and suppliers, including HP, Galaxy Packtech, Nilpeter, Durst, A B Graphic International, Screen, Hybrid Software, and leading label material providers.

With a reputation for strategic investment, technological leadership, and agile decision-making, Baker Labels continues to prove that an independent, family-run business can lead innovation and set industry standards in the UK label and packaging sector.
