Celebrating 10 Years of Lining Systems GRP Limited: Our Story

This month marks a huge milestone for us: 10 years of Lining Systems GRP Limited. A decade of hard work, growth, and incredible projects… and what a journey it’s been. But to really appreciate how far we’ve come, it’s worth remembering where it all started.

From Store Cupboards to Starting Fresh

Before Lining Systems began, Dan had already been in the industry for many years. Straight from school, he went into the trade and worked his way up from the store cupboards to site supervisor, gaining all the hands-on experience, technical skill, and patience that comes with doing a job properly.

After years of learning, leading, and perfecting his craft, Dan knew it was time to take the next step — to create something of his own that stood for honesty, quality, and real workmanship.

A Family Business, Built from the Kitchen Table

That next step came at what was, looking back, a slightly chaotic time. We were newly married, with our first baby on the way, and still decided it was the perfect moment to start a business together.

And so, Lining Systems GRP Limited was born from our kitchen table, with a newborn in one arm and a phone in the other.

In those early days, I was on maternity leave, trying to juggle nappy changes, feeds, and phone calls. One particularly tired day, I finished a business call with a brand-new client by saying, “Love you, bye!” out of pure exhaustion and habit.

Thankfully, they found it endearing, not strange, and they’re still one of our amazing clients today.

Those humble beginnings set the tone for everything that’s followed: a business built on personal connection, reliability, and care.
