Transformers & Rectifiers Ltd. Strengthens Partnerships Across Asia

Following the company’s 74th anniversary earlier this year, Transformers & Rectifiers Ltd. (T&R) continues to expand its international presence, building on decades of experience in power transformation and rectification solutions.

As part of its ongoing Asian Tour, members of the T&R team met with key industry partners and clients in Indonesia and Hong Kong, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to collaboration and technical excellence on a global scale.

Engaging with MRT Jakarta and PLN Distribution, Indonesia

During the visit to Indonesia, representatives from Transformers & Rectifiers Ltd. and T&R Test Equipment Ltd. had the opportunity to meet with both MRT Jakarta and PLN Distribution — two of the country’s most prominent organisations in power generation and rail infrastructure.

The meetings focused on discussing transformer and rectifier technologies suited to Indonesia’s growing energy and transportation needs. The dialogue also highlighted T&R’s proven expertise in designing and manufacturing traction rectifier systems, earthing transformers, and bespoke power solutions used worldwide, including across South East Asia.

These discussions reflect the company’s longstanding dedication to providing reliable, efficient, and technically advanced products tailored to the specific requirements of each market.

Collaboration with Kum Shing in Hong Kong

The Asian Tour concluded with a visit to Hong Kong, where the T&R team met with Kum Shing Group, a leading provider of electrical and infrastructure engineering services. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to explore potential collaborations in power network upgrades and maintenance projects across the region.

As part of the company’s joint presence in Asia, T&R Test Equipment Ltd. also held presentations and technical training sessions with local distributors, further promoting British-engineered excellence in high-voltage testing and transformer manufacturing.
