T&R Test Equipment Ltd. Reflects on a Year of Innovation, Engagement, and Global Growth

As 2025 draws to a close, T&R Test Equipment Ltd. is pleased to reflect on a year defined by strong product development, valuable industry engagement, and productive collaboration with our distributors and end users worldwide. It has been a year marked by both technological progress and strengthened relationships across key markets.

A Successful Product Launch: MCAT+ Well Received Worldwide

A major highlight of 2025 was the successful launch of the MCAT+ Micro Cross Arm Tester. Introduced earlier this year, the instrument has been exceptionally well received across the high-voltage testing community. Its combination of safety-focused design, intuitive operation, and advanced capabilities has positioned it as a trusted tool for 11 kV field engineers.Feedback from the market has been overwhelmingly positive, and interest continues to grow as more engineers adopt the MCAT+ for overhead line safety assessments.

International Engagement: Asia Pacific Rail 2025. South East Asia & Canada Tour

The year included significant international outreach as T&R strengthened its presence across Asia and North America.

Asia Pacific Rail 2025

We were proud to attend Asia Pacific Rail 2025, where our team held discussions with power utilities, traction operators, and engineering specialists regarding testing requirements, modernisation programmes, and the role of high-accuracy current injection equipment within the region. This event reinforced T&R’s position as a trusted global provider of protection testing instruments.

South East Asia Distributor Tour

Following the exhibition, our Sales & Commercial Director, Gary Biggs, travelled across South East Asia to meet with our local distributors. These visits included:

  • Technical presentations
  • Product familiarisation sessions
  • Market updates
  • End-user meetings across multiple regions

This tour further strengthened relationships with our partners and highlighted the increasing demand for dependable high-voltage test solutions across the region.

North American Outreach: Strengthening Connections in Canada

In November, T&R travelled to Canada to meet with our long-standing distributor Power Source Instruments, as well as a range of regional end users.The visit provided excellent opportunities to:

  • Share technical insight
  • Discuss evolving protection testing requirements
  • Demonstrate our product range
  • Strengthen relationships with key industry partners

We are grateful for the hospitality shown throughout the trip and look forward to continuing our support for the Canadian market.

Strengthening Industry Knowledge: Workshops with UK Distributor Partners

Throughout 2025, T&R collaborated closely with several UK-based distributors to deliver hands-on technical workshops for protection, commissioning, and maintenance engineers.These sessions provided practical demonstrations of primary and secondary current injection testing, allowing attendees to gain real-world experience with instruments such as the 50ADM-P, 200ADM-P Mk2, and 750ADM Mk4.

The enthusiasm and engagement shown by participants have been exceptional, and we look forward to continuing this collaborative approach in 2026.

Industry Participation: The Inaugural Faraday Power Group Meeting

Another notable moment in 2025 was our participation in the inaugural Faraday Power Group Meeting, hosted at The Faraday Centre in Redcar & Cleveland.The event brought together organisations from across the power, utilities, renewables, and engineering sectors, creating a valuable forum for technical discussion, networking, and knowledge sharing.

T&R Test Equipment Ltd. was pleased to support the event and present our range of high-voltage testing solutions to delegates from across the UK and internationally.

A Strong Year and a Promising 2026 Ahead

With a successful product launch, international outreach, strong distributor engagement, and active participation in industry events, 2025 has been a year of meaningful growth for T&R Test Equipment Ltd.
