Grahame Gardner’s improved warehousing speeds up order delivery
As part of their ongoing drive to improve efficiency, Grahame Gardner Ltd have recently moved their warehousing from their Leicester factory to a purpose built single story logistics centre situated in Lincolnshire.
The generous size of this new facility means that Grahame Gardner can significantly increase their stocks and therefore reduce lead times.Grahame Gardner have been reviewing and improving their operational procedures over the past 18 months and have made several changes in order to reduce costs and pass on the savings to customers. This new warehouse facility is part of this strategy review and, as Simon Ward Sales Director comments, should further improve Grahame Gardners' customer service;
“Grahame Gardners' new warehousing capability will enable us to get our products to the customer quicker than ever before. All of our operational changes over the past eighteen months have been carried out in order to enhance our product range, price point and customer service. We have a very strong heritage having served the uniform market for over 100 years, these new changes cement our future as a dynamic and flexible company, positioned to efficiently deal with our loyal and growing customer base.”
With Grahame Gardner increasingly dealing with larger clients such as NHS Trusts, Universities and Colleges, the new warehousing should support the company with their recent service pledge to individually name each wearer pack at point of despatch to ease distribution. The increased space and single story layout that the warehouse provides, coupled with its central position in the UK, will not only speed up despatch but also ensure transportation is as swift as possible.
