The Boris Nets Training Centre - Multiple Courses - Multiple Sectors

At Boris Nets, we have over 65 years of experience designing and manufacturing specialist netting solutions. Drawing on our deep industry knowledge, we have created a series of practical, in-depth courses to help professionals select, install, and maintain netting systems and beyond.

These educational resources cover key topics including advanced materials, mesh design, construction techniques, strengthening methods, maintenance best practices, and the latest innovations in the field. These are some of our courses, designed to provide clear, actionable insights for anyone working with protective netting solutions.

FASET Safety Nets for Managers is a one-day classroom course for site managers, principal contractors, and temporary works coordinators. It covers legislation, net systems, installation planning, inspection, fault identification, paperwork, and management responsibilities. Delegates receive a 3-year Certificate of Attendance.

FASET Safety Net Riggers Course provides foundation training for new or trainee riggers over one full day (max 6 delegates). It teaches safe MEWP operation, net positioning, joining, tensioning, and handover to BS EN 1263-2 standards. Successful completers can apply for the red Trainee CSCS Safety-Net Rigger card and progress to NVQ. A 24-month Certificate of Attendance is issued.

FASET GSA Assessment - Safety Netting (GSA1) is a half-day practical and theory reassessment (max 4 delegates) for renewing the blue CSCS Safety-Net Rigger card. It requires a 100% pass on 13 safety-critical tasks and a minimum score on 15 theory questions.

FASET Safety Net Repair Course is a one-day intensive programme (max 4 delegates) for riggers and inspectors. It focuses on defect recognition, approved repair methods (needle-and-twine or C-ring), maintenance scheduling, and documentation. A 5-year certificate is awarded.

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations & Rigging - Safety Net Rigging is a work-based qualification for experienced trainees. It builds on the Riggers Course with mandatory units (health & safety, productive practices, fall protection, installing/removing nets) plus an optional MEWP unit. Successful completion upgrades the red Trainee CSCS card to the full blue card. This lifetime qualification is assessed via site visits, discussions, and evidence.
