AP Technologies to Exhibit at WWEM and Photonics UK 2026

AP Technologies, a UK and Ireland distributor of optoelectronic components with 20 years' experience supporting the OEMs in robotics, medical, industrial and environmental monitoring instrumentation, is set to exhibit at two major trade shows this September, showcasing technology used across environmental monitoring, life sciences, industrial automation and data centre infrastructure.

The company will be at WWEM 2026 (16–17 September, NEC Birmingham), the water, wastewater and environmental monitoring exhibition held alongside AQE and RWM, and at Photonics UK 2026 (29–30 September, ExCeL London), part of Microelectronics UK.

On show across both events:

  • Spectrometers: UV to near-infrared modules from OtO Photonics, for which AP Technologies is UK and Ireland distributor, used for contaminant detection in water, gas absorption analysis, and pharmaceutical and industrial analysis. Visitors to Photonics UK can also see recent development work on the SmartEngine SE6190, a deep-UV spectrometer aimed at enhanced sensitivity below 230nm.
  • LEDs, including UVC: devices from Silanna, Edison Photonics and Opto Diode supporting water disinfection, air quality sensing, and sterilisation applications in life sciences. AP Technologies was recently appointed UK distributor for Silanna's 235nm and 255nm UVC LEDs.
  • Infrared detectors: lead sulphide and lead selenide sensors from Opto Diode used in gas detection, moisture analysis, and optical sorting for recycling.
  • Laser diodes and semiconductor optical amplifiers: components from QD Laser (including the Lantana series for flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy) and SemiNex (SOAs and high power DFBs) for automotive lidar and high-power data centre interconnects.
  • Time-of-Flight cameras and sensors: 3D depth sensing modules and components from Meerecompany CubeEye and Broadcom, including the newly launched AFBR-S50MX85I wide-angle sensor, for industrial automation, robotics and automated sorting.

Live demonstrations of spectrometers and Time-of-Flight sensors will run on the AP Technologies stand at Photonics UK across both days.
