Motion on the Move: Our New Industrial Showroom Van Has Arrived! 🚐

We love talking about hinges, stays, and soft-close motion here at Sugatsune. But we love showing them off even more.

That's why we're excited to introduce the Sugatsune Industrial Showroom Van — a fully kitted-out mobile showroom bringing hands-on product demonstrations straight to your door.

Why it matters

Some things just have to be felt to be understood. Take torque hinges: they're nearly impossible to demonstrate by hand alone. They only make sense once you feel the leverage in action, mounted on a real lid or door. Our sales team does a brilliant job explaining the technology, but nothing beats trying it yourself.

What's on board

The van is loaded with components from our Industrial Hardware catalogue, with a strong focus on Motion Design Tech (MDT) — our advanced range of motion-control solutions for hinges, stays, and slides. MDT includes:

🔹 Free stop — holds flaps, lids and covers open at any angle

🔹 Soft motion — controls opening and closing speed

🔹 Assist motion — helps lift heavy lids and doors

🔹 Detent motion — holds items open at a fixed angle

🔹 Multi-linear motion — smooth movement for multi-directional loads

🔹 Unique motion — expanded opening and closing paths for doors

The van is fitted with real cabinets, doors, lids, flaps, covers, mounts and guides — the actual applications MDT products are built for — so you can see torque hinges, lift assist hinges, soft down stays, torque stays and more working exactly as they would on your own equipment.
