Digital waste tracking: what you need to know

From 1 October 2026, permitted waste receiving sites in England and Wales will be required to use the Government’s new digital waste tracking service.

The important message for our customers is that there is no new process for you to follow at this stage. The first phase of the rollout applies to waste receiving sites, so the changes and additional reporting responsibilities sit with us.

We simply ask that you continue to describe your waste accurately and tell us if anything has changed since it was assessed. This will help us avoid unnecessary queries or delays.

As we move to the new system at the beginning of October, our teams may occasionally need further information from you. We also appreciate your patience while the new system settles in.
