ITM launch DVI KVM Extender with superior video quality

Gefen EXT-CAT5-1600HD KVM Extender, DVI-D and USB 2.0 Peripherals up to 200 feet (60m) are now available from ITM Components.

ITM Components, Ferndown, Gefen’s leading UK distributor, introduce the latest  Gefen manufactured KVM extender. The EXT-CAT5-1600HD unit extends DVI and USB 2.0 peripherals with the Gefen CAT5 1600HD KVM extender using two CAT-5e/CAT6 cables to 200 feet.

Gefen’s EXT-CAT5-1600HD is a DVI KVM extender which additionally includes a built in 4-port USB 2.0 hub in the receiver unit, which enables complete computer access control at the remote location. (EXT-CAT5-1600HD also supports USB 1.1).

Gefen’s DVI KVM Extender connects the host computer''s DVI and USB ports to the sender unit and connects the remote display and computer peripherals to the receiver unit. Two CAT-5 cables (for the DVI and for the USB 2.0) extension connect the sender and the receiver units together. Once all units and cables are connected, high quality video resolutions will be displayed at up to 1080p and 1920x1200.

The EXT-CAT5-1600HD transmits DVI digitally for zero loss of signal over CAT5 cables enhancing video further. The extender is also HDCP compliant which allows the consumer to watch the highest quality video images.
