Metal Polishing Compounds

Applications: We have selected 2 popular grades of polish that are ideal for finish polishing architectural metal, especially stainless steel. Use with our felt polishing discs or on felt or cotton polishing wheels. The green grade PV102 will remove minor scratches and leave a bright lustre finish. For a full mirror polish, clean off the green polish and finish with the pink grade PV102.

Carbide Burrs

We stock a broad range of tungsten carbide burrs in the many shapes shown below. Most have 6mm dia spindles for use on die-grinders or drills, but a 3mm spindle options is available in most shapes, for use on small tooling such as Dremels. You can also chose a handy kit with a selection of carbide burrs for either hard metal or non-ferrous metals.

Flap Discs

Flap discs are popular for metal grinding due to their long life. They are often considered safer than bonded abrasive grinding discs as their lighter weight can result in lower vibration and they are less likely to shatter if damaged.

The unitised wheel range is suitable for several machines, but the smaller ones will fit to a tapered spindle. These are available for drills and for some polishing mills. Others can be mounted on rotating shaft machines. Convolute wheels tend to be used on grinding mills or other rotating shaft machines where the component can be presented to the wheel. The spindle mounted options are ideal for drill chucks and variable speed die-grinders. We stock a dedicated range for the Finiteasy machine, but these can also be used on other machines that can accommodate a 25.4mm centre.

Diamond Mortar Raking Discs - Raking Fingers

Our Right Lines Mortar raking diamond blades are ideal for long runs, especially in brickwork. 8mm or 8.5mm spacing is common, but where there is a risk of damaging the bricks, you may prefer 6mm face width. Mortar fingers are often preferred for stone walls, especially random stonework.

Powerfile Belts

Our standard performance range of powerfile belts uses ceramic abrasive where possible in grades 40 to 120. In finer grades a high purity aluminium oxide with grinding aids work well on all steels including stainless. Surface conditioning gives brushed or satin finishes. Trizactâ„¢ gives fine finishes quickly. All are made with quality taped joints for strength and smoother running.

Choose from our range of premium performance powerfile belts (also known as Finger Files) to fit Dynabrade, Beltit, Makita, Metabo, Suhner, Flex and many more power files.

For high aggression select FX87 Ceramic Abrasive belts.  The ceramic belts are our standard range as they out-cut and out-last zirconia (blue) belts.

Wheel Sleeve Belts

We offer sleeve belts compatible with popular metal finishing wheel machines and burnishers, including PTX and Finimaster, with the flexibility to create made-to-order sizes or grades not currently in stock.

Our sleeves seamlessly fit both ventilated and inflatable wheels on Finimaster, PTX, and similar machines. For efficient cleaning and preparation of steel with scale and deeper scratches, ceramic abrasive stands out as the fastest option.

Achieve satin or brushed finishes rapidly with Trizactâ„¢ 337 belts, while Trizactâ„¢ 237 offers a quicker path to a polished surface.

Zirconium (coarser grades) and aluminium oxide (finer grades), followed by surface conditioning, create an effective process for refinishing.

Wire Brushes & Wheels

Our wire brush wheels are mainly from Jaz in Spain, which have proven over a number of years to be of high quality. We have built up an extensive stock of both steel and stainless steel wire designs for most tools and applications.

The selection below is separated into the wide range of stainless steel options, with both steel and brass coated steel bush wheels in the second category.
