The origins of what is today known as XL Global Group dates back to 1992 when Colin Laird established his own business after leaving Ferranti Offshore Systems Ltd (UK Engineering firm). From humble beginnings three decades ago, the business has continued to focus on the needs of the customer and desire to work with clients and provide complementary services. The business expanded to now include a range of Software, IT, Equipment Supply, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Electrical Engineering and Calibration Service businesses operating across a number of countries from bases across the UK, North America and the Middle East.
