Fitting as much action-packed equipment as we can, into a relatively small space can sometimes be a bit of a challenge for us. Especially when giving children a fun, but safe area to play. But we always come up with a great idea, where kids can enjoy themselves and make unforgettable memories with friends and family.

The base of the climbing frame tower starts with an enclosed den underneath the platform. This makes a cosy space for young ones to relax, play and engage with others.

A real test of strength and hand eye coordination is the climbing wall. With hand grips of different shapes and sizes, dotted up the side of the adventure tower. The children can see how high they can climb to gain access to the tower with slide. But for even the smallest of play enthusiasts, an access ladder provides an easy way of keeping up with the older ones.

For the grand finale, a 3m long wavy slide is the best way to exit the tower. This short but enjoyable ride is sure to leave the children wanting more. Though better prepare Mum and Dad, you’ll be catching your little ones at the bottom of the slide, multiple times!

Whether building climbing frames, tree houses or zip wires, nine out of ten times one or more trees are involved. So you have trees and then you think, hey zip wire! Then the rest of it just all comes together.

The brief was to design a tree house and zip wire around the trees with as much fun as possible whilst blending naturally into the surroundings, we love a challenge and created just what they wanted.

How much fun can you fit in just one garden? With three towers the answer is ‘quite a lot’. An extravagant space became the home of our latest creation. A beautiful treehouse for children in Surrey with two further towers to bring smiles and laughter all year round.

So you have trees and then you think, hey zip wire! Then the rest of it just all comes together. For a long zip wire, approximately 40 metres in length, you need elevation to make sure that the speed and thrill is there. So the take off needed to be a high platform, 2.1m off the ground to make sure that the flight was worth having.

When you have a large family having something for everyone and keeping all happy can be a real challenge. When faced with designing a treehouse for a family of six, with a two, three, nine and fourteen year old, we needed to assemble the right mix of play to make it entertain one and all.

After asking the kids what they would like, and they had a pretty lengthy wish list, we added as much as we could to the design and pitched it to the family. After a bit of back and forth, we hit the bulls-eye with our final design, and built the tree house of their dreams.

It started off as an old assault course at a Nursery. But by the end, became a large play tower raised above the ground. The finger of blame was pointing squarely at the kids, though we didn’t see the parents complaining.

The platform is high above the ground and when you’re up at that level, and one of the young uns’, you can really appreciate nature and the surrounding landscape.

With an easy walkway leading up to the top height of the platform, there is always means to escape should enemies launch an attack. But also allows it to be accessible for even the smallest of play enthusiasts. And what a great selection of activities to choose from!

The tower is more for the adventurous kids – it only goes half-way across, bridging the gap between new and old. Are you up to the horizontal climb using the monkey bars? Only the brave need apply.

It was just about the perfect spot, a gently sloping field at a local primary school. Plenty of open space, and room for the school kids to take flight. The only trouble is that there weren’t any trees. Looks like a job for Gardenatics.

We brought in the augur and drove two telegraph poles deep into the ground. Installed cable stays and then built two platforms at either end. One to take off from, the other to land (as the slope tailed away).

A customer decided it was time to liven up their garden and have an activity that the older kids could really get into. They had some great space but decided that their large Black Poplar Tree would be a great start point for a zip wire. The only trouble was how were they going to choose the best way of ending the zip wire. And what length they could get which would fit within their budget.

We always use a commercially graded trolley and cable, so that you know your zip wire will have longevity to last your children for many, many years. They all come with button for a safe and comfortable ride.

It all started with an idea of taking flight. The size of the garden meant that there was enough room to have a seriously long zip wire. About 27 metres in length and from that central idea, the rest of the build evolved. But then our customer wanted a versatile wood platforms zip wire combination. Well, with a garden like this, wouldn’t you too?

For such a zip wire, it necessitated a high start, so we solved this using a solid launch platform. This provides the biggest thrill to the ride and gives that all important ‘wheee’ factor! And with a challenging scramble ladder to climb up, at 2.1 meters in the air, there’s a real sense of satisfaction on completing the ascent with amazing views of the countryside around as the reward.

Of all the tree houses we’ve created, this one has been by far, the most fun for the children. The scale is deceptive as it seems to be tucked away in the corner of the garden. It’s only when you get up close you realise that your eyes are playing tricks on you. There is an awful lot of kit in a very small space! It’s a split level twin tower tree house tucked away in the corner of a garden.

The main tower has a climbing wall, entrance ladder, speedy wavy slide and the most vertiginous fireman’s pole (4 meters from the top) you will have ever seen.

It has room to accommodate a mature tree and a fully waterproof play house with an extra-high roof to let even tall adults in without stooping (the door is almost 2 metres high!). The play house also doubles as a sleepover snug where the entire family can sleep out overnight if wanted!

This family on the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire border had a fantastic garden with bags of potential. A large, gently sloping enclosed field backing onto farm land, and a pleasant distribution of mature Birch and Sycamore trees. This space was crying out for an all-encompassing tree house, which would excite the kids for years to come. Encouraging them to spend hours in the garden.

Enter stage left, Gardenatics, with a vision and a plan to get the most use across the whole garden. Our solution was a double platform tree house connected by a whopping 8 metre suspended bridge.

Made of strong, sturdy timber, swing frames stand the test of time and kids still love them today. Using their arms and legs to build momentum, they can race to see who can get the highest.

Grass mats are often the easiest way to cover a small area. They provide cushioning and protection for the ground. Weather resistance and zero maintenance properties create hassle-free installation and are a great low-cost solution.

You can buy them at the same time as ordering your climbing frame or tree house and we’ll be able to install them for you.

Made from recycled industrial tyres, Play Bark is great for giving an extra padded landing, but also looks wonderful in any play area. As the Play Bark is loose, it will need a wood board retaining edge to keep it in place. 

For a medium cost surface, you have one of the best lasting and softest materials for your child to fall on to, it’s worth the extra pennies!

Wet pour is a great surfacing for a number of different reasons. The top layer takes the usual scuffs and wear from children and the second layer is the impact absorbing one. Great for taking the impact of many children.

Wet Pour does come at a high cost. But the impact absorbent properties make it worthwhile when you see children playing.
