MJF - HP High Reusability Pa12 (Nylon)
MJF - HP High Reusability PA12 (Nylon)
The Versatile Solution
PA12 (Nylon) is an exceptional choice for manufacturing plastic components. Capable of accommodating intricate designs, it delivers excellent surface finishes. Vapour polished slender sections demonstrate remarkable flexibility, while bulkier components offer impressive strength. With a robust chemical resistance and a UL94-HB fire rating, this material proves to be incredibly adaptable for various applications.
SLS - 2nd Life Pa12
SLS - 2nd Life PA12
The Eco One
Our 2nd Life PA12 feedstock is produced by reprocessing surplus HP PA12 from our HP MJF machines. Traditionally, most Service Bureaus (including ourselves in the past) disposed of excess powder either in landfill or through energy recovery. For years, we have sought an innovative solution to repurpose this surplus powder on-site, minimising its carbon footprint. We have successfully developed a method to revitalise it and feed it directly into our Nexa 230 SLS system, transforming what would otherwise be waste into high-quality parts.
At Incremental-AM, we optimally run our HP systems at a lower density than average to achieve parts with superior surface finishes and mechanical properties. This operating method results in the production of PA12 powder suitable for reuse within an HP machine. However, given that the refresh rate is a minimum of 20% and builds may be packed to just 8%, we find ourselves with between 5% and 10% by volume of perfectly usable powder that cannot be reintegrated into the HP ecosystem. This surplus serves as the foundation of our 2nd Life PA12 feedstock.
CBPa12
CBPa12
The Glamorous One
The HP 580 is among the select few machines in the industry capable of producing robust load-bearing components in full colour.
The internal core of these components is largely composed of the same PA12 material that you would receive from traditional production printers. However, there’s an added touch of magic; the 580 creates a near-white layer of PA12 surrounding the core, onto which the colours are printed.
“Raw” parts from the 580 exhibit a chalky finish, and the colours may appear somewhat muted. If you desire vibrant, eye-catching colours, we recommend opting for vapour polishing and watch the enchantment unfold!
SLS - Production
The Super Little (Green) Sausage
Our Research & Development team has successfully qualified the compact Nexa 230 to operate using 100% Overstock material. This is PA12 material that cannot be reused in the HP 5210. While it is high-quality material, we generate a surplus due to the low packing densities we utilise with the 5210. The material undergoes an on-site reconditioning process before being reused directly.
MJF - Full Colour
The Show Pony
The HP580 MJF system, lovingly referred to as "Princess Layer," is simply extraordinary. We utilise this advanced technology to create end-use components in vibrant and durable colours. The HP580 excels in producing stunning wood effects and intricate patterns. Whether you require a prosthetic socket adorned with daisies, a colour-coded installation tool, or even a pair of pink leopard print glasses, there is no comparison. Experience unmatched quality and customised solutions with our HP580 MJF system.
MJF Production
At Incremental Engineering Ltd, we specialise in MJF (Multi Jet Fusion) production, delivering high-quality, precision-engineered components for a wide range of industries. Using advanced additive manufacturing technology, we provide efficient, cost-effective solutions for both prototyping and full-scale production, ensuring excellent strength, detail, and consistency in every part. With a focus on reliability and innovation, we support our clients from concept through to completion, helping bring complex designs to life.
Production Services
Incremental-AM serves as a trusted supplier of industrial components. The majority of our clients favour receiving fully finished parts ready for booking, rather than individual pieces that require additional processing. This may involve the physical assembly of multiple components or the simple enhancement of post-print tapped holes or threaded inserts.
Standard Finishes
At Incremental Engineering Ltd, we offer a range of standard finishing options to complement our precision-engineered parts, ensuring each component meets both functional and aesthetic requirements. Our finishing services enhance durability, surface quality, and overall appearance, making parts suitable for a wide variety of applications. Whether for prototypes or full production runs, we provide consistent, high-quality results that align with our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Special Finishes
The special finishes available through Incremental-AM are carried out by our trusted sub-contractors that we have been working with for year in some cases.
About us
Incremental Engineering Ltd (Incremental-AM) supplies parts primarily through additive manufacturing, or industrial 3D printing, with a strong emphasis on producing high-quality end-use components for production settings. We prioritise precision and consistency over volume, recognising that not all prints are equal.
Our main production process uses HP’s Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology with PA12 (nylon), complemented by full-colour MJF and SLS capabilities.
Incremental-AM strives to be a consistently reliable, no-nonsense supplier, where smooth, drama-free service reflects well-controlled and dependable production processes.
Our Services Include:
Printing of HP MJF Prototypes
Flexible production from single items to large volumes, spanning everything from trophies to drone components, automotive, and scientific parts for OEMs across a wide range of industries.
Batch Production of HP MJF Parts
Production volumes from 10 to 1,000+ units with no tooling or setup costs, offering make-to-order, stock holding, and flexible call-off supply options.
Design Advisory Service
Designing for MJF and 3D printing differs from traditional subtractive methods. We can provide guidance, handle the design process, or connect you with external designers if required.
Incremental-AM supplies parts mainly using HP Multi Jet Fusion, with a focus on delivering the highest-quality components these machines can produce.
The incremental online ordering process is simple and efficient: upload your full 3D model (supporting most formats, including .STL, .STEP—preferred—and other CAD files), choose your preferred finish (with de-powdering and bead blasting as standard, plus options such as dyeing, vapour polishing, Cerakoting, painting, or plating), and place your order either online or via direct quotation using a credit card or approved account. Once confirmed, your parts are printed and shipped, with free next-day delivery available on orders over £150.
We take on only orders we can reliably produce to the highest standard, on schedule and within budget.
