Schmalz workshop equipment provides valuable support for industrial and trade applications. Transport trolleys allow efficient, space-saving storage of workpieces during different production stages. They are particularly suited for moving painted furniture, sheets, profiles, metal or plastic parts, solar panels, and more. The range also includes vacuum workbenches and stands. These feature foot-operated switches for vacuum control, with suction plates that securely hold workpieces in place during processing. Both benches and stands are height-adjustable, ensuring ergonomic working conditions.

We offer Jib Cranes in two versions: column-mounted and wall-mounted. Wall-mounted models can be fixed to existing structural steelwork (if suitable), saving valuable space. Where no steelwork is available, column-mounted jib cranes provide the solution.

Highly versatile, Jib Cranes can be paired with chain hoists, rope hoists, balancers, or lifting devices. Column installations allow a pivoting angle of 270°, and the crane can also be set up as a freestanding unit.

For loads up to 1,000 kg, column slewing cranes feature aluminium rails for maximum responsiveness. For heavier loads exceeding 1,000 kg, robust steel rails are used.

These specialised Deep Water Suction Pads are made from high-quality formed rubber and can grip securely to both flat and uneven surfaces with forces exceeding 300 kg. Each unit consists of a base with a replaceable suction pad, and can be supplied with an optional tap for vacuum release. Suction is generated either through standard venturi water removal or by vacuum pump. Originally designed to secure divers to their underwater worksite, they are now also widely used to stabilise ROVs in their operating position. The pads maintain a firm hold even in strong currents, with holding power increasing at greater depths. This design provides operators with improved mobility, safety, and comfort while enhancing task efficiency.

A recent advancement allows the Deep Water Suction Pad to connect directly to equipment deployed at unlimited depths. Successful integration with ROVs has demonstrated their exceptional adaptability and effectiveness in challenging underwater environments.

Special grippers are designed for applications where standard suction pads are unable to create a vacuum. We provide a wide range of these grippers, available in different shapes, sizes, and operating principles.

Valves regulate both vacuum and compressed air. Choosing the right valves can enhance the vacuum system’s reliability and cost-efficiency.

Schmalz vacuum blocks for grid tables allow for easy and flexible operation without complicated installation. Their non-slip fixtures ensure workpieces remain securely clamped, even under high machining forces, making them perfect for complex five-axis applications without a wear plate.

Schmalz clamping solutions allow for quick and easy setup of CNC machining centers with flat tables. The vacuum blocks are secured first, followed by the workpiece, using two independent vacuum circuits. Schmalz offers vacuum blocks with hose connections for universal flat tables, as well as a hose-free version for flat aluminum tables featuring integrated vacuum distribution.

The Innospann vacuum clamping system allows any CNC machining center to be retrofitted, regardless of manufacturer or model. This modernisation enables fast and flexible changeovers, even with frequent product variations, supporting efficient manufacturing processes starting from batch size one. Schmalz thus offers a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new machine.

Retrofitting the Machine TableRetrofitting is done by installing a Steel Plate on the machine’s grid plate. Existing grids can be used for grid tables, while flat and console tables require an intermediate plate with a grid. The grid can also be milled directly into a flat table. Integrated vacuum grooves eliminate the need for separate hosing, and vacuum blocks can be freely positioned on the Steel Plate.

The Multi-Clamp vacuum clamping system is ideal for fast and flexible securing of small to medium-sized workpieces. Workpieces can be clamped in any position and accessed from all sides. The Multi-Clamp is portable and suitable for use in diverse industrial, workshop, and on-site environments.

The FXP and FMP vacuum area gripping systems provide maximum flexibility for automated handling processes. This versatile gripper enables automated palletising, depalletising, order picking, and sorting of a wide range of goods in different sizes using a single device. It can handle workpieces made from various materials—such as cardboard, wood, dry metal sheets, and plastic—both with and without cut-outs.

Special gripping systems like the 'High Speed-Picker' and 'MRK-Gripper' make virtually any handling task possible with vacuum technology.
