Special Fans
We can manufacture our fans in special executions to suit the process including: fan sizes, special finishes, arrangements, sound proofing, insulation and more.
ATEX Fans
Ferrari have a selection of centrifugal, axial and roof fans that can be manufactured with special anti-sparking materials which are ATEX certified.
Ferrari have the approvals and can supply these fans for both gas and dust explosive atmospheres. The products can be supplied for equipment group II, equipment group 2 and 3, zones 1 and 2 (gas) and zones 21 and 22 (dust).
The application reference standards are as follows (NON-EXHASTIVE LIST):
Directive 2014/34/EU ATEX Directive
Directive 99/9/EC Minimum requirements for improving the safety and health protection of workers potentially at risk from explosive atmospheres.
UNI EN 14986 Design of fans working in potentially explosive atmospheres.
UNI EN 1127-1 Explosive atmospheres - explosion provention and protection - basic concepts and methodology.
UNI EN 13643-1 Non-electrical equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres - Part 1: Basic method and requirments.
UNI EN 13643-5 Non- electrical equipment intended for the use in potentially explosive atmospheres - Part 5: Protection by constructional safety "c".
VDMA 24167 Ventilatoren: Sicherheitsanforderungen (Fans: Safety requirements).
EUROVENT 1/5-99 Specification for fan construction and the use to reduce the ignition risk in potentially explosive atmospheres.
IEC/CEI EN 60079 Electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmospheres - Part 0: Equiment general requirments; Part 20-1: Material characteristics for gas and vapour classification - Test methods and data; Part 10: Classification of areas; Part 14: Electrical installations in hazardous areas with combustible gasses (other than mines).
CEI EN 61241-10 Classification of areas where combusible dusts are or may be present.
