Blanking Panels
Blanking Panels play a vital role in improving the airflow management within Data Centre and IT Environments. Cooling is an area where operators can make energy efficiency gains by optimising cooling systems. Installing blanking panels is one way in which to improve airflow management to enable cooling optimisation.
Blanking panels prevent hot equipment exhaust air from circulating back to the front of the rack where it can mix with cold air and affect inlet temperatures causing potential hot spots. EDP Distribution provides leading solutions including EziBlank 6U blanking panels that are tool-less and can be easily resized to fit the required space.

Floor Grommets
Floor Grommets are an important step in improving airflow management in raised floor environments within Data Centres and IT environments. Within Data Centres cold air to cool IT equipment should only be supplied via floor grilles in the cold aisle. All other openings in the raised floor should be sealed to prevent air leakage.
EDP Distribution supply the leading solution to resolve this issue − KoldLok Raised Floor Grommets. KoldLok is a range of floor grommets that has been designed to specifically seal cable openings in Data Centre raised floors, featuring either double-layer brushes or brush and membrane they provide an effective seal whilst still allowing easy access for cabling. Sealing openings with KoldLok helps reduce bypass airflow, enables cooling optimisation of cooling units which leads to energy efficiency gains.

Intelligent PDUs
EDP Distribution offer a variety of Intelligent PDUs from Dataprobe, enLogic and iPower.
EDP iPower ACU is the latest generation of intelligent PDUs that can be custom designed to provide the features that you require. Initially it consists of four models: IP1 provides overall energy monitoring, IP2 provides overall and per outlet energy monitoring, IP3 builds on IP2 and adds individual remote outlet switching and IP4 which adds configurable sequential start-up to IP3. iPower ACU is available to as single, dual or 3-Phase units that are capable of handling loads up to 125Amps. Units can be daisy-chained to control 32 devices to be monitored via a single IP address. Other features include monitoring of 14+ energy metrics, environmental monitoring of temperature and humidity, security ports for Access Control. Information is available via the local TFT display, internal web browser or over SNMP.

Raised Access Floors
EDP Data Centre Solutions supplies and installs the dynamic raised access floor system from Bergvik − Iso Floor.
Unlike traditional pedestal raised floors, Bergvik Iso Floor uses a steel sub-structure that is self-supporting and totally independent from the floor panels. As the floor panels are not required to provide the lateral stability Iso Floor uses up to 70% fewer pedestals which provides greater access to plenum infrastructure as there is less obstruction, this allows space for cable management and improve airflow.
The design of Iso Floor also allows the use of different sized floor tiles from the standard 600x600 tiles. This enables the space to be optimised, by doing so it is possible to achieve up to 25% more equipment within the same space when compared to a traditional floor.
The steel sub-structure also removes the need for expensive equipment stands and heavy equipment can be placed on the frame simply by adding additional beams and pedestals to match the weight load. The entire floor can also be grounded via just two grounding points.
