Fire Door Inspections

Fire Door Inspections

Fire doors are an essential part of a building’s Passive Fire Protection, ensuring that the building is compartmentalised and helping to prevent the spread of fire and smoke, allowing occupants time to escape.

Our team of Certificated Fire Door Inspectors are fully qualified and have been assessed by Exova Warringtonfire, an independent third party. We check and test over 25 individual factors and components of your fire doors and issue a certificate of compliance, you will be provided with a detailed report on the condition and functionality of each fire door, highlighting any necessary remedial work.

Intumescent Painting of Structural Steelwork

Intumescent Painting of Structural Steelwork

Intumescent coatings, often referred to as intumescent paint, is a cost-effective and ideal solution to protect structural steel from the damage caused by fire. Intumescent coatings are designed to react to heat by expanding and creating a charred insulating layer around the substrate to protect the steel and it’s load bearing properties in the event of a fire.

Being IFC accredited intumescent paint contractors, Flux Fire Protection can offer intumescent paint to steelwork for times ranging from 30 to 120 minutes. We can offer our own specifications for a more cost-effective approach or work to our clients specification.

Our team of dedicated employees work across the country offering intumescent paint services in Yorkshire, The Midlands, the North East and beyond.

Firestopping & Passive Fire Protection

Firestopping & Passive Fire Protection

Compartmentation is a vital component of any buildings fire strategy, forming barriers of resistance in the construction to prevent the spread of flame and smoke both vertically and horizontally. Penetrations through areas such as wall, floor and service riser barriers cause areas of weakness and risk to this strategy. With the help of our competent, highly trained, and independently accredited team of installers, Flux will work in accordance with your requirements to offer the highest levels of safety to the buildings occupants and achieve compliance for the development.

Our extensive range of products will also protect the structural elements of the building to keep the integrity of the load bearing structure in the event of a fire.
