Storm Valve
A marine storm valve is a specialised check valve designed for installation in a ship’s sewage or drainage systems. Its primary function is to prevent seawater from backflowing into the vessel, especially in heavy seas or when the ship is heeled. By serving as a barrier against flooding and contamination through overboard discharge pipes, marine storm valves play a crucial role in maritime safety.
Purpose of a Marine Storm Valve
- Prevents seawater ingress through overboard discharge openings.
- Facilitates the one-way flow of wastewater, bilge, or greywater out of the ship.
- Vital for sewage, greywater, and drainage systems located below the waterline.
We supply marine storm valves from a range of leading manufacturers. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

CONCOA 205 Series Regulator
The CONCOA 205 Series is a four-port, chrome-plated forged brass point-of-use regulator designed for high purity inert gas applications. It delivers secondary pressure control for non-corrosive, liquefied, high purity gases (up to grade 4.5) and is well suited to high purity gas distribution systems. With a maximum inlet pressure rating of at least 3000 PSIG (210 BAR), depending on configuration, it supports safe operation with high-pressure cylinders. Factory-installed options allow the regulator to be configured as a single-station manifold, with or without purge functionality.
Features:
316L stainless steel diaphragm reduces inboard diffusion
CAPSULE® seat design provides integral 360° filtration
3000 PSIG inlet rating enables safe high-pressure use
Standard relief valve protects gauges and diaphragm
Helium leak-tested to ensure leak integrity
Specifications:
Max inlet pressure: 3000 PSIG (210 BAR)
Body: Chrome-plated forged brass; Bonnet: Chrome-plated die-cast zinc
Gauge: 2½" (63 mm) plated case

Pilot Operated Safety Valve
We offer pilot-operated safety valves from renowned manufacturers. Please reach out to us with your specific requirements.
A pilot-operated safety valve (POSV) is a specialised pressure relief valve that utilises system pressure, through a smaller auxiliary valve known as the pilot, to regulate the opening and closing of the main valve. These valves are predominantly used in systems where precise pressure control and effective sealing are essential, especially under high-pressure conditions.
How It Works:
- The pilot valve continuously monitors system pressure and manages the main valve's operation.
- When pressure remains within safe limits, the pilot valve keeps the main valve closed by maintaining pressure on the upper side of the valve piston or diaphragm.
- If the pressure surpasses the predetermined limit, the pilot valve opens, allowing pressure to vent from above the piston, resulting in the main valve fully opening to relieve the pressure.
- Once the system pressure falls below the set point (considering hysteresis), the pilot valve closes, re-establishing pressure above the piston and shutting the main valve.
Advantages:
- Provides tight shutoff even close to the set pressure.
- Offers higher capacity and reduced leakage compared to direct spring-loaded valves.
- Features adjustable blow-down, which is the difference between the opening and closing pressure.
- More compact design suitable for high-pressure applications.
Disadvantages:
- Significantly more expensive than standard safety valves.
