The Paperless Office − Is the future of the office finally here?
The paperless office is something that has been talked about for many years now, but until recently it’s something that has been considered pure fantasy rather than the method of the future for making the business more efficient whilst helping the environment at the same time.
These days we certainly have the capabilities, but do we have the ability to adapt and make the changes in our working life to head towards a better and more productive office?Well the office of which I speak isn’t actually that difficult to maintain, it’s just a matter of getting used to the process. Searching for particular documents through cabinets can take a lot of time out of any member of staff’s day but with a digital document management system, you’ll be able to search for and find relevant documents in a matter of seconds.
The initial part of the process is sending your documents to a company like ours to scan in bulk and convert to a file format of your choice which may be a Word, Excel or the ever popular PDF document or a mixture of them all. We will then make the document text-searchable so that when they are on your computers you’ll be able to search for particular titles, keywords or phrases and find them instantly.
