Wheelie Bin Handlers ensure firms don't waste time

A leading materials handling and forklift attachment firm has come up with the perfect solution to help its customers safely and efficiently dispose of waste.
Contact Attachments, based in Mid Wales, has designed and manufactured a range of wheelie bin handlers that enable clients to pick up and empty bins using a forklift. Jason Cadman, Technical Sales Consultant at Contact Attachments, said: “Many companies in a variety of sectors use wheelie bins to store waste, but manually lifting, handling, and emptying the bins can prove both problematic and unsafe. We developed the wheelie bin handlers to make sure our clients can dispose of its waste safely and quickly, as they are simply attached to the forklift.”
The firm, which has been designing and manufacturing forklift attachments from its base in Newtown for more than 30 years, offers a small bin handler, plus two attachments for larger bins, and none of the attachments require any hydraulics or electrical fitting to a forklift. Its small wheelie bin tipper is suitable for bins with a capacity of 90-240 litres, and enables the contents to be easily emptied into a large container ready for collection. The tipper is designed to fit forklift forks up to 145mm wide and 60mm thick.
The larger bin handlers are designed for wheelie bins that hold between 660 and 1100 litres, and are appropriate for either sprung lid or flat lid containers. The flat lid wheelie bin handler is designed to lift and ‘pivot’ the bin over the edge of the waste skip, whilst the sprung lid wheel bin attachment uses a fitted gearbox to dispense the waste into the disposal unit.
“Like all our attachments our range of wheelie bin handlers are manufactured to the highest quality and are fully tested and compliant with all appropriate health and safety regulations. The handlers are currently being used by blue chip companies including Skanska, DHL, and Balfour Beatty,” Jason concluded.
