No Downtime with Piston Push Probes

09 June 2023

Jet “J” Type Piston Push Probes

Solartron’s Jet “J” Type Piston Push Probes possess the benefit of independently working pistons. Standard pneumatic probes rely on the inflation of the gaiter atop the probe, meaning the gaiter pushes the probe out. If the gaiter is somehow damaged, it will not inflate, leading to a non-functioning probe.

With Solartron’s Pneumatic Piston Push probes, the line will continue to operate even with a split gaiter. This leads to no down time, allowing for continuous use within a fast paced production line.

Jet probes can be used for the automation sector.
A component such as motor stator housing of a vehicle benefits from Jet “J” Probes due to the high impact production lines, leading to long downtimes if a standard measurement sensor breaks down.

Maintaining the same high quality in different measurement range.
The Jet probes are available in four measurement ranges (2, 5, 10, 12, and 20 mm) meanwhile maintaining the same high quality of Solartron’s standard probes. They possess a Rugged build of stainless steel and are tested to millions of cycles to ensure their resistance to years of abuse, and vibration and heat.

Easy Networking
For easy networking, the Solartron Orbit Network allows for up to 250 sensors to be connected together, both contact and non-contact. Quick output to a PC is possible with the Orbit Network, which is made easy through both Solartron provided software, as well as 3rd party software. This can also be done via gateways for Profinet®, Ethernet/IP®, EtherCAT®, CC-Link® and Modbus based PLCs.
