DeltaRail Success at the Rail Professional Rail Business Awards

DeltaRail provided the signalling control solution under Atkins’ leadership as part of the winning project in the ''Business Excellence'' category at Rail Professional''s prestigious Rail Business Awards.

The award ceremony was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 16th February, with the award made to Atkins, Carillion, TfL and Network Rail for their work on the North London Railway Infrastructure Project.

The IECC solution was chosen to control the North London Line from two new IECC workstations at the Upminster signalling centre, alongside the three existing IECC workstations which control the route from London to Tilbury and Southend. An additional workstation was also provided at Liverpool Street signalling centre to control the area around the Olympics site at Stratford.

The work was part of the £326 million upgrade of the London Overground network. This is delivering longer and more frequent passenger and freight trains in the North London area, and these works are especially important for the improved rail connections to the main 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games Park at Stratford.
