Upgrade your indoor ventilation with these fabric duct services
Prihoda’s fabric duct services are designed to make great indoor ventilation as easy and accessible as possible.
Fabric ducting is an excellent alternative to galvanised steel ventilation duct systems. Best known for its use in the food industry, it is well suited to a whole range of applications, from schools and universities to swimming pools, and even marquees and vehicles. With the increasing importance of indoor ventilation, textile-based ducting is now more relevant than ever before. Retrofitting fabric ducting is a straightforward way to upgrade your business’ indoor ventilation. To make it even easier, we offer a range of fabric ducting services, from the initial design to the final touches of the installation.
Fabric duct design service
Since air currents follow similar flow patterns regardless of the ducting material, ventilation engineers may wonder why they should leave the designing to us. But there is a major difference between fabric ducting and rigid ducting: with flexible duct walls, the available pressure must be sufficient to transport the air while also maintaining the duct inflated. Other small variations lead to a slightly different approach when designing a fabric duct system. For example, since there is endless flexibility in positioning the diffusers (perforations and nozzles) on the duct, one can get a huge range of distribution patterns − from very fast flow to gentle, practically imperceptible air circulation. So why not let someone else do the hard work? At Prihoda, we have decades of experience designing fabric ducts and diffusers. Using our CFD-validated software, we can accurately predict the resulting air distribution for each design, avoiding any unwanted movement, noise or vibration. And to keep you in the loop, we provide airflow graphics and noise data with every quote. Just tell us your requirements and we will take care of the design process.
Maintenance and washing
Typically, Prihoda fabric ducting is essentially install and forget. The material is resistant to corrosion and it doesn’t hold onto dust, as it’s not designed to act as an air filter. As a result, in most cases a quick wipe is only needed for aesthetics, and not to preserve the ducts' performance. But some applications require a little more care, especially those with stringent hygiene protocols, such as food production sites and hospitals. We offer maintenance services including: Professional duct washing − using state-of-the-art laundry equipment, we can wash textile ducting from any manufacturer at the ideal temperature and spin cycle. We also offer additional disinfection treatments. Periodic washing services − our rotational washing service offers convenience to the food industry. We can store a spare set of fabric ducting in our facilities and deliver it to the customer just before the current set is taken down for washing. Minor repairs − for example, where there is mild material wear or any issues with the zippers.
