A New Site, A Fresh Vision

As part of their ongoing expansion program, Hickory’s Smokehouse approached use to help transform the outdoor dining space and their newest location in Milton Keynes. With a clear vision for a welcoming and comfortable alfresco environment, they needed outdoor furniture that had balanced durability, comfort and bespoke charm.

Small Touches, Big Impact
While bespoke work often conjures images of large-scale projects and complete redesigns, the Hickory’s Milton Keynes project proved that even small customisations can have a significant impact. One standout element was the addition of bespoke seat pads to our Warwick Bar Chairs. These pads not only brought a fresh aesthetic to a classic product but also elevated comfort levels for guests. We incorporated discreet straps to keep the cushions securely in place, ensuring both form and function were maintained.

To complete the space, we supplied a curated mix of furniture from our existing collections, including Chia Chairs, Warwick Teak range, and Guernsey walk-in picnic benches. Additionally, our bespoke team crafted a series of distressed timber tabletops to enhance the rustic yet refined atmosphere Hickory’s envisioned.
Like many projects, this one wasn’t without its hurdles. Due to stock limitations, we were unable to deliver the entire order as originally planned. However, we acted quickly to provide high-quality stand-in furniture, allowing Hickory’s to move forward with their launch plans. Just a few days later, we returned to complete the installation with the full order.

Timing also presented a logistical challenge, as the delivery coincided with one of our busiest periods of the year. Coordinating a large order on short notice requires exceptional teamwork. Thanks to the dedication of our logistics crew and delivery drivers, we managed to carry out a seamless morning delivery and installation.

Outdoor Dining Done Right
The outdoor area at Hickory’s Milton Keynes now features a thoughtful assembly mix of comfort, style and practicality. Through a combination of bespoke solutions and timely problem-solving, we helped bring their outdoor vision to life- creating a space that not only complements the brand but enhances the guest experience.
