A Refreshed Staff Space for Conex Universal

Conex Universal, based in Kingswinford, recently approached us with a request to furnish their indoor staff restroom. The project was a particularly exciting one for one of our team- not only was it a return visit from a valued customer, but it also involved Neil, our Business Development Manager, who has a long-standing relationship with Conex and a strong background in indoor furniture projects.

In fact, the client personally asked Neil to take the lead, making this a meaningful collaboration on both a professional and personal level. The company has previously worked with us in 2021, when they purchased recycled plastic furniture and branded parasols, and it was great to partner with them again.

The object was clear: to refresh and update the indoor break area with practical, stylish furniture that would elevate the space for everyday staff use. Neil collaborated closely with the customer to ensure that the Rochester range would be the perfect fit for the environment, both in terms of design and durability. Fortunately, the project unfolded smoothly with minimal challenges. The only minor issues involved a few sticky pads on the furniture feet coming loose and one table that didn’t quite meet our usual quality standards. Thanks to some careful planning, Neil brought along extra sticky pads and had preloaded a spare table onto the van, ensuring we were prepared to make replacements immediately if needed. This proactive approach helped maintain our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

The result is a transformed staff restroom that is both functional and visually appealing. The nut-brown ash wood paired with dark grey steel creates a modern industrial look, which complements the newly installed Amtico flooring beautifully. The natural warmth of the wooden seats and tabletops adds a softer, more welcoming touch to the space, balancing the overall aesthetic. A pool table is also set to be added soon, further enhancing the area as a space for relaxation and downtime.

The project was a success! Delivered without delay, with attention to detail, and with a very happy client. It’s always a pleasure to work with returning customers, and even more so when the project brings together trust, friendship, and great design.
