A Fresh Look for a Country Favourite: The Shires Inn, Peatling Parva

LeisureBench was approached by The Bridgewater Group on behalf of Roseacre Pub Company, an existing and valued customer, to assist with the refurbishments of The Shires Inn- a well-loved pub located in the picturesque village of Peatling Parva.

Known for its hearty, homemade food and rustic charm, The Shires Inn holds a special place in the local community, attracting families and visitors from across the region.

This project held particular significance, as The Shires marks Roseacre Pub Company’s first outright pub purchase. With full ownership, they had the creative freedom to put their unique stamp on the venue- something we were proud to help bring to life.

Central to the refurbishment was the creation of a 7-metre-long run of fixed seating, designed and crafted in-house by our bespoke manufacturing team. Alongside this, we produced and installed eight booth units to optimise space and enhance comfort for guests.

All pieces were manufactured on-site at LeisureBench, ensuring quality control from start to finish. The fixed seating was complemented with custom-made cushions in a combination of striped and plain fabrics, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

The chosen furniture blends contemporary flair with traditional charm, resulting in a balanced and stylish environment that retains the pub’s character while introducing a fresh, updated look.

The finished refurbishment speaks for itself. The mix of contemporary and rustic elements has created a relaxed, stylish setting that offers an oasis of calm for guests. With the thoughtful layout and bespoke touches, The Shires Inn now delivers not only on food and service- but on ambience too.

We’re proud to have played a part in this exciting new chapter for both Roseacre Pub Company and The Shires Inn, and we look forward to seeing it continue to thrive for years to come.
