8,000 Litre Walk-In Test Chamber supplied by JB Environmental Engineering Ltd
JB Environmental Engineering Ltd have recently supplied a 8,000 litre Walk-In Test Chamber to an Automotive manufacturer for the design proving and environmental Testing of their larger assemblies. The Walk-In Test Chamber was supplied to increase the companies Environmental Testing capacity.
The Walk-In Test Chamber was installed, commissioned & supplied by JB Environmental Engineering Ltd and was manufactured by Envisys Technologies on behalf of JBEE. The Walk-In test Chamber has a Temperature Range of +80°C to -65°C and is fitted with an air-cooled cascade refrigeration system and also has a Humidity Range of 10% to 95%RH. The test chamber is manufactured from prefabricated Insulated panels to ensure robust construction and is sealed against moisture ingress during high humidity use. The interior of the test chamber is manufactured from AISI 304 stainless Steel to withstand the temperature range and high humidity levels, whilst the exterior is manufactured from powder coated Mild steel for longevity of life during use.
The Walk-In test Chamber is fitted with the Envisys ET Touch Colour PID controller and programmer for ease of programming and use, with display of set-points and actual operating conditions. The Controller has a built-in Data logger to monitor the test chambers operation and for recording the test results for future use. The Touch screen controller is also fitted with RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet & USB communication ports for the connection to any PC or system and comes complete with a Web Server for remote monitoring and operation of the chamber from a PC, iPad or Smartphone.
The Walk-In Test Chamber is fitted with several access ports to allow the connection of external instrumentation and connections to be made to the automotive assemblies under test. This is to enable the users to fully document the performance of the assemblies during their extensive testing procedures carried out to ensure the reliability and robustness of the assemblies before being fitted to any vehicles.
