Refurbishment of Chambers by Fitting New Cascade Plant systems for Defence Company.

JB Environmental Engineering Ltd are building 7 off new cascade refrigeration systems for a defence company to refurbish and upgrade 7 of their older environmental test chambers. These also include the upgrading of the systems with environmentally friendly refrigerants.

JBEE have been commissioned to design and manufacture the new cascade refrigeration systems to refurbish 7 off old environmental test chambers and bring them up to the latest standards. This order has been placed by a defence company to upgrade and refurbish their older faulty environmental test chambers with new refrigeration plants and equipment to bring them up to the latest technology. This will ensure that the lifetime of the environmental chambers is extended and will operate efficiently and effectively for many more years into the future.

The New Cascade Refrigeration plants have been designed by JB Environmental Engineering Ltd and manufactured by their team of engineers and have a capability of operating the Test Chambers between +30°C to -70°C. The cascade refrigeration plants use environmentally friendly refrigerants in the 1st Stage of R449a with GWP of 1397 a reduction of 64% in GWP on older refrigerants, and the 2nd stage with R473a with a GWP 1831 a reduction of 90% in GWP compared to R23. These refrigerants ensure the new cascade plants meet with the latest and foreseeable F-Gas regulations. This also greatly improves the efficiency of the Plant providing a reduced electricity consumption and reduced cost during the operation of the Environmental Test Chambers.

The first two refrigeration Plants have been installed and commissioned on site to refurbish the older test chambers and accepted by the customer as meeting the required specification and offering a much-improved performance of the Environmental Chambers.
