New Fire Safety Legislation Alert ⏰
On 4th July 2025, Parliament passed the Fire Safety (Residential Evacuation Plans) Regulations 2025, which will come into force on 6th April 2026. This legislation marks a major shift in responsibilities for those managing high-rise residential premises. From April 2026, building owners and managers must ensure:
· Comprehensive evacuation plans are in place for all residents
· Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) are developed for individuals whose ability to self-evacuate is compromised due to physical or cognitive conditions.
· Compliance applies to residential buildings over 18m or 7+ storeys, and also to those over 11m with a simultaneous evacuation strategy.
At KFive Evacuation, we specialise in assisted evacuation solutions that go beyond compliance, helping you protect lives, reduce risk, and demonstrate proactive safety leadership.
If you’re a building manager, housing association, or responsible person under the Fire Safety Order, now is the time to prepare. April 2026 may feel far away, but embedding evacuation planning into your operations early will save time, cost, and—most importantly—lives.
