Macalloy to Inspire the Next Generation at the Region’s Largest STEM Event – Get up to Speed with STEM 2026

Macalloy is looking forward to attending and supporting a stand , showcasing our work at the biggest STEM event in the region, Get up to Speed with STEM 2026, taking place at the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham.

We will be exhibiting on Wednesday 18 March 2026, where our team will host an interactive stand designed to inspire young people and highlight the exciting opportunities available in engineering and manufacturing.

What to Expect from Macalloy’s Stand

As part of our commitment to engaging the next generation, Macalloy’s exhibition space will help engage visitors to experience a hands-on demonstration of our Techno‑Tensioner, giving students a close-up look at the technology behind our globally recognised tension system

We will highlight some of Macalloy’s most iconic projects from around the world, demonstrating how our engineering solutions contribute to innovative structures and major developments.

Our engineers and specialists will be on-hand to share insights into career pathways, answer questions, and inspire young people to explore opportunities within STEM fields.

About Get Up to Speed with STEM

For the past 15 years, Get up to Speed with STEM has been a flagship event for promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing ( STEM) career opportunities. The event has welcomed over 52,200 young people and their families from the Sheffield City Region and beyond.

The event provides:

  • A platform for South Yorkshire companies to showcase their technologies and services
  • Opportunities to address the STEM skills gap
  • Direct engagement between young people and industry professionals
  • Hands-on activities that spark enthusiasm and curiosity for STEM subjects
