Sensor Access launches new GuardTour App for modernised security patrol management

We are excited to announce the launch of our new GuardTour App, a mobile-based patrol tracking solution designed to improve accountability, operational efficiency, and safety for security patrols.

GuardTour turns a smartphone into a patrol tracking device to support and monitor security operations, ensuring that guards are completing their assigned patrol routes accurately and on schedule.

The GuardTour App supports:

• Real-Time Location Tracking via GPS
• Tour Reporting
• Route Compliance Monitoring
• Duress Button

The Guard simply begins the tour on the App when they start their patrol, then scans pre-placed NFC tags as they complete their route. The App records the Guard’s location via GPS, with timestamps, to verify patrol coverage. The guard can also upload notes and photos directly within the App for incident reporting. Once the guard completes the tour a digital report is sent automatically for review and auditing purposes.

GuardTour is designed to provide stronger accountability and proof of service for security patrols by providing clear evidence patrols were completed fully and on schedule. The App also improves efficiency and incident response time by eliminating the need for manual logbooks, as well as enhancing guard safety, particularly for lone workers via the duress button.
